Corner pub outside of town centre, quite traditional in decor, it has a pool table, dartboard plus the expected screens. Five pumps over two sides of the L Shaped counter, Great Newsome Stout on one, Theakstons Best and Old Mill Blonde on the others, average to good quality. Horsey decor on white walls over grey tongue and groove. A good honest pub.

Mrs Ale spotted this pub whilst perusing through Hull and East Yorkshires Pub Magazine "Pub Mirror". So glad she did as this was a very good pub to visit. The pub consists of a very narrow lobby entrance, which then leads into a horse shoe shaped lounge with a small central bar. The pub is traditional in décor and has a good relaxed atmosphere. The barmaid was welcoming and friendly, five handpumps on the bar. So we went for the Wold Top Wold Gold and Abbeydale Deception, this was the best pub in the town.

The Spread Eagle is a corner pub that is a short walk from the middle of town.
I went in the room at the front of the pub there may have been more but i did'nt look this was fairly quiet with most customers watching the TV.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of John Smiths cask and this was a decent drink the other beer was Theakston mild.
