Arrived on Sarurday lunchtime and was greeted by two friendly people outside who were sweeping up leaves. Inside I found a tidy traditional two roomed pub with a choice of 4 cask ales. It looked very welcoming and the staff were friendly. Sadly, though, I couldn't stay because my wife and I with our toddler in tow were looking for food but we were told that they didn't serve food.
The staff and few customers in were very helpful in pointing us to another place around the corner. Pity, I would have liked to have written something a bit more informative about Gayle's pub. If you want a pint in Melbourne, give it a try by all means. For me, well maybe next time.
