Stayed here for 3 nights in October although no real ale on the place was quite lively with nightly entertainment and was ok for it's use as a base camp

The older part of this building has some interesting history, as it was once the clan seat of the MacFarlanes. The section now accessible to non-residents is modern, however, and has the ambience of a hotel bar rather than a village pub. It boasts "nightly entertainment," which consists of cabaret singers, quizzes and bingo. Busy with coach parties in summer, but I imagine it's considerably quieter during the winter months.
