Old Boots left this review about Ben Reoch Lounge @ The Tarbet Hotel
A fairly typical hotel bar of the better sort, turn right when entering reception. it is in a large and very impressive stone building in the Scottish baronial style. The location is superb beside Loch Lomond with views of the Loch and Ben Lomond opposite, the main A82 road outside is a bit of a distraction and as stated reduces the appeal of the outside area. There’s a small counter to the left with the usual Scots choice of Tennants and Caledonian Best on one T-Bar and a more standard UK choice of Guinness and Magners and a decent enough Pilsner from a Belgian brewery called Heverlee. Tasteful furnishings in leather and tartan tweed, partly carpeted but obviously hotel prices. There’s a lounge to the left of reception with a pool table.

David Ross left this review about The Tarbet Hotel
A grand and imposing old hotel, which dwarfs all the other buildings in this miniscule hamlet, the Tarbet Hotel is relatively expensive for the area, charging £3 for a pint of ordinary lager. There is a residents only lounge and the “Ben Reoch Lounge,” (named after the nearby mountain) which is open to the public but not what I’d call a public bar. The picturesque setting, on the west shore of Loch Lomond, with a leafy mountain backdrop, is best appreciated from the small, brick paved, beer garden at the front. Unfortunately, this looks on to a very busy road junction, so it’s not exactly peaceful. The food smelt nice, but the prices looked on the expensive side. This is a useful stopping off point on the Loch Lomond road, with a great setting, but not somewhere I found appealing as a pub.
