This is a larger than expected corner pub, with four cask beers on at the time of my visit. Having only room for a half I went for the Bass (NBSS 3.5, £4.40/pint) rather than one of the three Dancing Duck offerings. I tend to agree with the previous reviewer that the beer is OK rather than mind blowing. With darts, pool, jukebox and World Cup cricket on the screens, plus four cask beers, this is definitely worth a visit, and locals are spoilt for choice.

On the northern fringes of the city centre, on a small backstreet into the estates. Fairly straightforward pub serving the locale that desperately needs a bit of exterior TLC. A bit better inside, with a spray painted old skool Derby County shirt (of the Bass sponsorship era) on one of the walls and Luke Littler by the dartboard. The smell of old fags was a bit off-putting, however. Note that all the cask ale is badged in the rear bar. I found 3x Dancing Duck and a serviceable Bass (NBSS 3).

Estate pub with a large space given over to band stage. Traditional pub fittings. Saved by the 4 well kept real ales
