Not much from the outside but a friendly traditional pub with garden space as well. Nice beer and a good pub

A very pleasant traditional pub awkwardly located on the road junction at the top of the High Street. The main bar has a Victorian feel, with fireplace, curtains and various bric-a-brac, with few signs of modernisation. To the side is a public bar with pool table, with gardens and car park to the rear (car park entry off Clatterford Road). It offers one changing island-brewed ale from handpump, apparently supplemented by a tapped barrel or two at busy times. Seemed fairly popular with families for food, but much less touristy than most.
