Requested be closed with reason - Other: Ben closed as the Verge since pre-pandemic and has become the Common Counter but I understand that the venue has recently stopped serving alcohol and is more a coffee shop from recently.

A bar located at the very top of Brick Lane where it meets Bethnal Green Road. Small inside, it has a brushed, distressed stone floor various minimal low seats and a dimly-lit aura and there are some nice retro prints of London landmarks on the walls. Laid-back 70s tunes abounded and, predictably there was no real ale, a half of keg Blue Moon (served avec orange slice) coming in at £2.50. A seat against one of the windows gives you a decent view of the comings / goings / traffic disagreements of the aforementioned intersection. If you've come to this part of London clutching your GBG / bible, you can safely walk past this one...
