Although it has now reverted to its original name, everything else seems to have remained the same as it was last year, at the time of the review below.

Known for years as "The Strath," this pub became "McCormick’s" for a time and is now "The Coachman’s Tavern," reflecting the fact that the proprietor is also the owner of a local bus company. Since moving on from its Irish incarnation ("McCormick’s"), it has been extensively refurbished. The larger windows, giving it a brighter atmosphere, are an improvement, but the removal of the old, wooden central bar is not. It now has something of a canteen appearance, although this allows more customers to be squeezed in. Clearly now attempting to attract a younger crowd, it features karaoke and singers at the weekends.
