Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Sun Inn
Impressive-looking Greene King pub and hotel (incidentally where the Midland Railway was founded), with various seating / dining areas around the central servery. All areas given an anonymous, semi-modern makeover at some stage, so not as interesting inside as one might expect. The choice from the various handpumps was also rather limited, with just Abbot, Shipstones Nut Brown (£3.30) and Lilley's Mango cider available.

Quite a pleasant brick-built house just outside the town centre, but inside it's a poor quality, uninspiring branded pub doing food and drink with one arm tied behind its back. Anything that requires any effort has been avoided: there's even a fake fire in the fireplace. My half of seasonal Rocking Rudolf (Hardys & Hansons) was charged at £1.60, but then I got 60p change - it was not clear to me whether this was a mistake in the quoted price or a mistake in the change, but he couldn't be bothered to explain so I didn't bother to ask. The beer was ok, but as I wrote in my notes at the time, just be thankful there are better pubs in town.

The Sun Inn is a large bare brick built pub that is in the centre of Eastwood next to the busy road junction.
When i first went in this pub it had a few different rooms,on a more recent visit the pub had been knocked about a bit and i had a drink in a very smart room that was very comfortable.
This pub used to be a Kimberley tied house and there was one real ale on here this was Kimberley bitter nad this was quite a nice drink.
This is now no doubt a GK house with their bland beers on the bar.
