Now closed and since this photograph was taken in June 2007, the pub has been demolished to build 24 flats.
Originally one of the many Georges/Courage "Red Brick" estate pubs, this was the last Pub on "Knowle West". The Red Lion in Wells Road and the Inns of Court have also been demolished along with the Glasscutter in nearby Hengrove as well as the Happy Cocks off Airport Road. The Talbot Inn in Wells Road is now a Chinese Restaurant. The only pub left in the area is the Friendship in Axbridge Road, but that has now closed and is to become a Tesco Metro, according to the local press.
