A proper double-take when I walked past, a brightly graffitied train carriage poking out of the base of a railway arch with a sign indicating a pub lies within! So of course I had to get a swift half. The interior is two-step, with the bar in the railway arch and the seating in the carriage, mainly of the padded bench variety which was quite apt. No ale so a half of Belhaven Best served up by a friendly mature barmaid. Customers a mix of alt students and earthier locals but all seemed to be rubbing along nicely. If you're venturing out of town, try this for the novelty value. An ale or two would really push this one on a bit.
