The Wilmslow Tavern is a large Marston’s pub on the edge of a shopping area that includes a Lidl and Tesco. Through the main entrance there’s raised seating to the left and a pool table is found to the right, beyond which a long bar counter runs up the right-hand wall. Seating runs up the left opposite the counter and at the rear is a large open space with no furniture. In the right rear is some tucked out of the way seating. During a recent Monday evening visit there were ten or so down to earth locals in watching muted TNT sport on the televisions throughout whilst some very loud music played through the speakers. The draught selection of standard keg alongside San Miguel, Cruzcampo and Birra Moretti aren’t going to have people making a special trip to visit so I think this is one to leave to the locals.
