Madisons Bar actually has two bars, both of which offer up a selection of standard and premium keg. The bar to the left feels more like a café, and to the right a pub with a longer bar counter and two dartboards. There was a members only sign in the door, but I walked in and was eventually served no questions asked. I assume the sign is there to allow entry refusal no questions asked. My visit was on a Thursday evening when it was rammed with the twenty-somethings of Ellesmere. There were queues at both bars as the bar staff struggled to keep up, to be honest they weren’t the most efficient. This place isn’t aimed at the likes of me so I’ll not be returning.
