Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Waterside

Attractive riverside bar / bistro. Semi-modern furniture with a small lounge area at one end of the bar. Separate dining room in a similar style. Good views from the wooden benches out front overlooking the River Tyne. Two of three handpumps in operation, offering Fyne Jarl and Stewart Cascade (£3.50). Also has various craft kegs bottles available. Worth the walk across the historic Nungate Bridge from the town centre.
