The Fairham is a very large imposing estate pub next to the busy main Farnborough Road. It is set back a bit with a large surrounding concreate area with lots of parking spaces. This is now one of only three pubs on Clifton and although none of them set the world on fire (or come even close) the Fairham is definitely the worst of the three. As you enter the pub retains two separate area s each with a bar that workers can pass between at will. The decore inside is much more modern than the outside would suggest but us very cheap looking and rather shabby and does not compliment the grand olds building at all with silly modern (tacky) looking carpets and wallpaper. There is also a large flat screen tv in the lounge we were sat in with a modern music channel on but it was muted!??! Most of the mainly male clientele were in the bar/pool room and were surrounding the table. And I did notice a sheltered smoking area outside.
Beer wise there was (unsurprisingly) nothing of any merit whatsoever just the usual keg range and not a drop of real stuff in sight. Me and my friend opted for pints of Guinness at £3.60 a pop that was free poured in one go into the wrong glasses, and a had a bubbly lifeless soapy yellow head. Although to taste it wasn’t repulsive like I thought it would have been it was such a lackluster pint. To top it all off some male scrote chucked in a few quid and blasted out Rhianna on the Jukebox that made conversation impossible, but to be fair we would only have been slagging the place off had we been able to speak anyway. Another one ticked off my list but that’s literally it ticked off never to return. I mean in a place with very few pubs its better than it being a housing development….. But only just.

The Fairham is a large ex Home Ales tied house,it is a short walk from the main shopping area of clifton.
It was quite busy in here and does sky tv but sadly no real here.
