The Village Inn was originally built as a Church Manse in 1872 and is set in it's own grounds on the east shore of Loch Long. The pub offers a large beer garden at the front of the pub with pleasant views over the loch, and also has log fires on the go in the winter months plus a couple of rooms to the right of the bar area room that seems to be set up for diners.
The cask beers available on my late Saturday afternoon visit were Timothy Taylor Landlord,An Oat Meal Stout from The Arran Island Brewery and a cask cider but the name eludes me.I thought the pub was clean and smart and had a good atmosphere and is well worth a visit.

This picture was taken 5 October 2013 and is another pub I recommend especially for real ales. The actual address for this pub is Loch Long, Shore Road, Arrochar.
