This pub used to be called the Old Bell and it was a Shipstones tied house it changed its name to the Top House because that is what the locals called it.
The pub as been altered and is now one room but still has a bar and lounge area,the bar is on the right this is a smallish area with a pool table and darts board,there is a narrow area between the bar and the front windows and the smarter lounge area is on the left hand side.
This used to be a very popular pub with all age groups but over the last few years is has gone downhill the last time it sold real ale was a couple of years ago and this was Everards Tiger but since then it has been John Smiths smooth and the handpump was unused.
Since mid summer the pub has been opening for a few weeks then closing for a few weeks at the moment it is closed and up for let.
This used to be a decent pub i hope someone takes this pub on and makes something of it.
