Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Roebuck
Sizeable (Greene King) Old English Inn with the expected semi-traditional but rather character-free furniture and decor in the bar, side lounge and various dining rooms. Two handpumps on a surprisingly small counter (although I suppose table service is the norm in most areas?), dispensing a good pint of IPA (£4.54) and Abbot.

Strongers . left this review about The Roebuck
The Roebuck is a large sprawling Old English Inns (Greene King) hotel, restaurant and bar. The hotel reception is at the entrance and access to the restaurant is gained through a door on the left. Straight through reception is the Beagle Bar where a limited standard draught selection is available alongside Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen. Food is also available in the bar area and the mains come in around £9 or £10 which is very good value as my wife and I really enjoyed our meals. To top it off the Guinness was good and the service very friendly and not in a corporate ‘I have to be polite’ way. The bar is laid out very comfortably and there are a few snug areas along with a pool table that is in a small area at the rear.
There is a car park and large garden and I must say that the building looked very pretty when I visited a couple of weeks ago as it was covered in snow and icicles were hanging above the windows. I half expected to walk in and find Santa having a pint!
This is a hotel so there is not much atmosphere to speak off, but it is ideal for a quick bite and a pint if passing.
