Incredibly, found by CAMRA for the GBG. Solid locals pub, fully endorsed by community on a Friday evening. It felt like the entire hamlet was there with standing room only. Front bar, low ceiling, log burner, probably three tables... all reserved and not just for diners - drinkers were making us of the one nearest the bar.
Beer - as described by Will below. Had the Flat Cap and Corby Blonde. Both well kept. Landlord keeps a running tab on a piece of paper and you settle on exit.
Wonderfully old school.

Lovely little village pub just off the road to Torver. Good Beer Guide regular, with Bank Top Flat Cap always on (NBSS 4) and usually Great Corby Blonde and one other, on this occasion Bank Top Dark Mild. Opening hours are limited (see photo) but well worth making the effort if in the area.
