A very old pub as the fire place dates it as 1553 however it seems dominated as a food destination as the bulk of the building's foot print is the restaurant side of things looking through the windows walking from the car park to the bar. As you look at the pub from the main road the left hand side is the bar area with the remainder being for food. To be honest I didn't note what ales were on offer. It is a popular location once it's sunny as a stream runs through the garden which consists of a courtyard affair which then opens up to a grassed area with tables bordering both sides of the stream. There is even over spill seating on the edges of the car park.
