This place was pretty quiet on my recent late afternoon weekday visit and the few that were in attendance were all watching horse racing on a plasma screen that is found in the bar area. There is another screen at the rear of the pub which also houses a pool table and a dartboard, but the lights were off and it seemed redundant. It was a lovely day so maybe the Irish guy behind the bar thought that everyone would be sitting out the front at the picnic tables that run alongside the busy Uxbridge Road.

There was only a standard draught selection available as there are no hamd pumps, but the Guinness was well served and the locals seemed harmless enough. That said I still wouldn’t go out of my way to drink here again.

I did spot on my way out that this place has a function room for hire, but I did not see it.
