Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The South Western
A proper country railway hotel, still performing all its original functions; offering refreshment, food and accommodation. Refurbished both inside and out, with various seating areas around the bar and along the front of the building and a pool room down a couple of steps towards the rear. Two of the three handpumps were clipped, but a sign notes that all ales are served direct from the cask. Butcombe Bitter and a decent pint of Piston Broke from the Box Steam Brewery (£3.30) were available when I called in briefly awaiting a train. NB - A board outside indicates that it is up for let by Punch Taverns, so let's hope they get some good people in to keep the place going and standards high.

I L left this review about The South Western
Very handy for the railway station, this pub is well kept inside and each time we have visited has been pleasantly busy.
Has 2 - 3 ales on each time we have visited.
