Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Royal Hotel
Very substantial hotel and 'Boathouse Bar & Restaurant' owned by Shepherd Neame, set in a prime position right by the beach so some great views (especially if outside on the terrace in sunny weather). Refurbished since my last visit 12 years ago, now all quite smart in a semi-traditional way. Still has three cask ales on handpump, with Master Brew, Whitstable Bay Pale and the new One Hop Wonder available this time.

Large hotel bar serving Shepherd Neame beers.The emphasis seems to be on food.Has an outside area that is practically on the beach.
