Will Larter left this review about Hullabaloo

Towards the end of a pub research trip around Shipley and Saltaire this was a brief stop just to tick the pub by having a swift half and moving on. Just to prove my judgment was unaffected by nine previous halves, I went for a ginger-infused 5.8% stout called Bang Arang. (The others were 5.5% and 4.4% plus a cider called Grumpy John.) Good choice, in that it was in very good condition (NBSS 3.5), bad choice in that it was pretty strong and I had to neck it and do one more pub before my train. Ah well, we live and learn. Or not, as the case may be. This is a nicely set up micropub of some longevity, with a blackboard beside the bar listing the offerings. Fairly close proximity to the station, like two others here in Shipley, would be a recommendation to some.

Formerly The Connection it reopened on 9th October with new name Hullabaloo, selling street food and craft beer under the slogan "Putting the hip in Shipley" Split level crafty type bar with 5 pulls and half a dozen taps of better kegs on a horseshoe plus a Berliner Pilsner on its own font. There's a comfortable lounge area with armchairs at the back, an area with tables and chairs in the centre and a mix of stools and bench seating at the front. A mish mash of decor styles with photos, posters and painted cupboard doors, the interior is decidedly woody. The toilets are upstairs next to a disused theatre which is sadly now inaccessible for public use.
