Strongers . left this review about Piri Piri Sports Bar
This place used to be called the Durga Lounge and it was an Indian Restaurant and bar. It is still an Indian restaurant and bar, but the moniker of Piri Piri Sports Bar probably sits better as it is overlooked by Wembley Stadium.
It is not the biggest place, but there is a restaurant in the room at the back behind the bar which has a flat screen TV and the bar area at the front has another couple of screens and they all show Sky Sports. The décor is fairly simple with a few canvas prints dotted about with pictures of sporting greats such as Ali and Pele.
It will not surprise many to learn that this place has no real ale, but there is a standard draught selection and the Guinness was pretty good and no more costly than other establishments in the area. I didn’t see anyone eating as there were only two other people in the bar area who I think probably work here, but I did think the food smelt fantastic.
A complaint that I will bring up is that the toilets consist of three cubicles, two of which are unisex and the other is reserved for the ladies. This is all very well in a restaurant, but when the place is packed with lager filled football fans on match day I don’t think the allocation is enough.
I don’t think that I would pop in here just for a drink again, but I would go to eat if the opportunity arose.
