Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Daffodil
The Daffodil is situated on the main A475 road in quite a small and remote village. Unusually, it is open 12-11 every day. Approaching it, I suspected the opening times I had seen were wrong but it was indeed open.
The interior decor is interesting with stone walls, tiled floors, lots of lights and plants hanging from the ceiling. There are neon lights and funky music plays. The overall feeling was that of a Mediterranean bar.
Handpulls have been removed here but there is a diverse selection of keg beers including Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica & Rebel IPA, Hawkstone IPA, La Chouffe Session, Delirium Tremens, Kwak, Damm Lemon & Camden Pale & Off Menu. The cider is Hawkstone Cider.
There are high tables around the bar area, with dining areas either side and at a lower level where tables have nice views over outdoor decking into a valley, where presumably the advertised shepherds' huts with hot tubs could be found.
Christmas lunch and Christmas parties were being advertised, as well as coffee mornings. However throughout my visit, there was just me and the landlord who spent his entire time (apart from breaking to serve me) trying unsuccessfully to cancel an order for some gift vouchers.
A fairly unique place which is worth seeing but now I've seen it, I'm not keen on returning.

Very much a swish eating place with leisurely service due to understaffing but still profesional and restaurant in style. Apart from the front area by the bar counter with leather armchairs, the whole rear is for dining with tables and chairs. Tasteful modern décor in pastel colours and various stone finishes, there's some interesting sculpture as well. There are many dining spaces, small and intimate at each end and open Ikea-like furnished with artriums and an exposed kitchen area in the middle. Five handpumps, two with Evan Evans’ beers and one with Abbott, beer quality only average considering its GBG 2013 listing but the food was rather nice.
