Pick of the two in Torver. Lovely old rambling tardis like pub that goes on and on in the inside.

Lovely beer trap garden.

Enjoyable visit although my partners Barngates Brewery selection knocked my Theakston XB into a cocked hat.

Fairly boring road frontage belies a splendid unmodernised stonebuilt inn. Two bars - the public has stone floors and mismatched wooden tables and seems popular with locals and walkers, with a more comfortable lounge bar adjacent. Good range of local ales as usual for area. Nice outdoor area to rear. Recommended.
