This tapas bar has two entrances, neither of them particularly encouraging. The back street has a porch and bay window, but as I approached someone's very young child was releasing some post-prandial excess energy by bouncing around in the window. I had been reading the menu and decided to eat here (there's a full vegan menu as well as regular stuff), so I was relieved to spot a staircase leading to the bar. (The alternative is via a back alley behind the Royal Oak.) As well as the bar there is an overflow room and some outside seating too. Beer options are limited to keg, with four mainstream and two local beers. I went for a West Coast Pale from Hawkshead, but the keg turned out to be all but empty, so I settled for Leffe Helles. The food was good and I noticed some people come in and ask for a table for drinks only and were accommodated with no problem. Another favourable point was that in the week before Christmas there was normal background music playing here!

Cozy little bar with nice atmosphere in front of bistro-sytle restaurant. Slightly strange mixture of styles and random furniture, but good feel to it. Sadly no real ales but has a good selection of serious UK and Belgian bottled beers.
