Called in this 2019 Good Beer Guide pub a couple of days ago and enjoyed the Banks Amber and Sunbeam. There is a large bar at the front and a smaller lounge at the rear.

A detached Banks's pub, with patio area. This is a Victorian little cottage pub that i think was extended at the back in the 1920/30s. It is in white brick, with the central entrance being flanked by bay windows. The interior has a couple of rooms, with the bar at the front and lounge at the rear (which i didnt see). The bar is in red and white, with a red tile floor and red leather perimeter seating and stools - a good bar room! It has darts and a TV (daytime programmes), as well as a pull down screen facility (not on). Lots of old photos are on the walls. There was no music. The service was fine and a few regulars were in. Beer; usual tap stuff with Banks's Sunbeam, Bitter, MILD (decent) and Shipyard Independence Ale on handpull. A really good solid traditional feeling pub - with four real ales. Enjoyed my stop-off and a few games of darts here.
