Old Boots left this review about The Timble Inn
A stone built pub in an isolated village above the reservoirs of the Washburn valley between Harrogate and Otley, although it is in North Yorkshire in spite of the Otley address. Closed for a long time it reopened after an extensive refurbishment into a dining pub. Made up of two rooms, one is predominately for dining while the other, the room you first enter from the main door, is equipped with tables and chairs and the bar counter with stools. This has been recently decorated to a high standard in modern restaurant style, there is an original but refurbished looking, stone floor. There are exposed beams and a stone fireplace with a homely touch provided by a dog's bed discreetly present in one corner. Casual drinkers are not frowned upon, although there is limited seating other than for diners, and the beer is of excellent quality. Three handpumps are in operation serving fine Yorkshire ales from Theakstons, Copper Dragon and Hambleton, there is also a small range of keg beers and naturally plenty of choice of wine. Staffing is friendly and not particularly restaurant styled in spite of the looks of the place and some of the customers, in fact it is still quite a down to earth place with reasonably priced “pubby” food at lunchtime and humourous names on the toilets (Heifers and Bullocks).
