An old Methodist chapel with a pleasant courtyard and a decent interior with an island bar to serve the imibiblical ecclesiastical. The interior hasn’t been altered much, so it really is a churchy feel. No cask but some keg with three Fierce & Noble offerings. Sadly my Straight Up Stout was served with a grump by the sour-faced fishwife and was really poor, I suspect it had been on for months. Dumped it and moved on. Shame, as there's potential here. 3.5

Previously Century and The Chapel, this former Methodist chapel is now a lively café bar which serves freshly cooked food, mainly pizzas and burgers, plus they serve cooked breakfast in the morning. Much of the original chapel architecture and décor has been left untouched, including many of the former church’s gravestones which still stand outside. Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was good value. No cask ales on, just Fierce and Noble’s Poppin IPA on keg, which was nonetheless a pleasant drink. I’d be happy to come back here.

A bar in an old church hall. Very neat inside. Real ale on sale. Food served lunch & evening. Was asked to not stand at the bar as they were serving food. Nearly missed it as there wasn't a pub sign outside, if there was I didn't see it.
