A multi-roomed pub on the western edge of town, with the rooms opened out to a certain extent. This was an important consideration as we were standing at the bar being bombarded by the offerings of a radio station, because on drifting away into the room on the left (or on the right with our backs to the bar) it became apparent that there were no loudspeakers there. The bar itself, while we're still stood there, had three hand pumps with Doom Bar and Shropshire Gold on. I went for a half of each, as I find them equally uninspiring, but at least they were saved from total insipidity by being in good nick (both NBSS 3). The pub seems to have been redecorated in the near past as everything was in fine trim, including a few bits of modern art on the walls and some comfortable bench seating around the walls.

Main street pub serving bar meals and real ale. New owners have been managing for two years and seem to making a go of it.Ample parking and worth a visit.
