Called in having seen reports of an improved beer range, and was pleasantly surprised, the dining area is now distinctly separate from a much more pubby area, four hand pumps with a selection of Bingham's Brickworks Bitter,Triple fff Alton's Pride, Tillingbourne A.N.O.B and Three Castles Thunderstorm, the later being in very good condition apart from being a little bit on the cold side. Suitably impressed and worth a look in ,the only other downside to the pub is the fact that most people will need to drive here. Rating up from 4 to 7.

A lovely looking old brick building that dates back around 300 years as a pub,my early recollections of the pub in the mid 1970s was of a very traditional pub and I think serving Moorlands beers, though I may be wrong on that , as time moved on food played more of a part and eventually was taken over by the Bluebeker chain who in turn sold it to the current owners today , Home Counties Pubs. This all means that now its more restaurant than pub. There is still a bar area for drinking only ,but recent refurbs have somewhat ruined the original traditional feel and uniformed staff does nothing to help this ,does have four changing guest beers but all were very middle of the road on my visit.was once a nice pub but no more.
