On a pub crawl of the area we should of course have sought out the Pride of Spitalfields but the advance party headed straight up the Commercial Road and, to my horror, into this place, who’s claim to fame is that it was voted best Thai restaurant in East London. There was however a reasonably sized bar area for vertical drinking, no real ales but there was Aspalls Cyder, Guinness and Bitburger on draught. It looks to be a popular live music venue and also showcases and sells pictures and prints. A decent enough stopping off point.
