Is this large pub/diner a converted house? Massive interior and the place majors on Thai food (we ate here and it was decent enough) and looks to have done so for a fair while. Interior feels recently redone - clean and bland, ‘cream of mushroom’ shades. Unusually, the main bar area paved is paved. In a welcome splash of personality in an otherwise drab interior, the left hand area has exposed dark stone and some colourful hung Oriental brollies. There’s a large grassed rear garden that needs better advertising. Mildly surprised to see four ales on – Pride (ok), OSH, Courage Best and Cornish Coaster (pretty good) though rather expensive, pseudo-restaurant prices. As a pub it didn’t do much for me, ultimately. 5.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Golden Fleece
Probably the most 'local' pub in Elstead, and serves decent Thai food at reasonable (for Surrey) prices.
