Strongers . left this review about The Botanist
The botanist is a bar and restaurant with exposed white washed brick walls and a large chimney breast that breaks up the seating areas. In fact there are quite a few seating areas, including upstairs where I didn’t roam. The bar on the back wall supports premium and craft keg. I went for half a Seven Bro7hers Hoppy Pale for £2.80. There was some background music playing and it is comfortable, but it feels a bit gimmicky, like it’s trying too hard to attract the great and good of Didsbury. With the Fletcher Moss so close I see no reason to visit here again, at least not for just a beer.

ROB Camra left this review about The Botanist
This used to be a small JDW, but it's been bought by the team behind the Botanist chain and is full of pretentious R Soles. It's very nicely done out as they all are. It's two storeys with the upstairs area being more of a restaurant, although I sat upstairs with my beer and no-one was bothered. There's a fantastic chandelier hanging over the main bar area. I asked for a pint of cask New World Pale, I was served a keg beer. I couldn't be bothered complaining as the place was rammed with the twateratti of Didsbury. I generally quite like Botanists, but I hated this place.

Now owned by New World Trading and named The Botanist, as are some other pubs of theirs in Manchester, Alderley Edge and Chester.
