Alan Winfield left this review about Goldminers Arms
The Goldminers is a typical looking estate pub.
I first visited this pub on the 15th of January 1988,the pub was a John Smiths tied house back then,it had one real ale on which was John Smiths cask bitter.
I decided to give this pub a go again while i was in the area.
Once inside the pub is unaltered, there is a smart looking L shaped lounge to the front, there was bench seating facing the bar,the room was carpeted, there was a seperate bar to the rear but i did'nt look in this room.
There were two unclipped pumps on the bar,the keg options were from the Marstons range,so i decided to have a Guinness which was a change for me.
I like visiting pubs like this, just a shame the pumps were not in use anymore.
