Old Boots left this review about Top Joe's
Located on the ground floor of the Central Hotel and reached through either a separate street door or an internal connecting door from the hotel. A big square room with a horseshoe bar and bench seating and tables round the edge. Trendy styling with plenty of screens and machines, wood and stone tiled floor and wood panelled walls. Décor is provided by Guinness adverts, arty photo's and Famous Grouse Saltaires. There is a pool table which looks to be in constant use by some well practised players. Keg beer range includes Amstel, 1664, Fosters, Heinekin, Guinness, Strongbow and McEwans 70 and 80 shilling which is identical to the upstairs bar, there are however also three handpumps serving Orkney beers, Best and Scapa Special, in reasonable condition. Service in a very Scottish, no nonsense way and frequented mainly by younger men who are banned from wearing football tops.
