Strongers . left this review about The Chepstow Hotel
This place is a 31 bedroom hotel with a large bar/dining area that is open to non-residents. During my visit a couple of days ago there were a lot of older customers tucking into the Sunday roast dinner, which I must say looked extremely good. Along with the bar/dining area there is also a smaller area with sofas and a TV that was showing Sky Sports and a couple of conference rooms that are available for hire.
On the draught front Stella, Fosters, John Smiths Extra Cold, Strongbow and Guinness are all available from the bar. There is also a hand pump, but there was no real ale on during my visit and I don't know if there ever is/was.
There is also some limited outside seating but this is situated in the ample car park next to a very busy main road.
This is certainly no great pub, but I wouldn't be that disappointed if the hotel I had booked into had a bar like this one. That said I would probably walk down the road to find a proper boozer.
