Well described below, very foody, nothing to see inside. Even outside, drinkers are meant to brave the elements with the large Covid inspired gazebo reserved for diners. However, outside mealtimes it's OK to take shelter and enjoy the rather nice Church Farm Harry's Heifer.
It's oddly set back from the canal despite being right by it but makes a pleasant half hour.
All Covid regs observed including a flap with an app, though they will log you in a book if you ask.

This is an attractive, rural traditional boozer from the outside which has been substantially refurbished internally.
It is clearly geared around food with both a seperate dining room and conservatory put aside for those eating leaving a relatively small area for those drinking. We didn't eat but we're made very welcome by the friendly and efficient barman.
Beers on we're GK IPA and a very acceptable Wood Farm Grand Slam which is brewed locally.
Probably more a spot if you're looking for some food but I'd happily stop by for a beer again.

There has been a very modern makeover internally, with a wooden floor, sofas and a wood burner close to the bar, this being the area to pitch down for some beers, the bench seating in the bay windows were charming.Beyond this is a restaurant section, while the tables in the conservatory to the right of the entrance were also set for diners. Some flock wallpaper and annoying muzak completed the scene, but the barman was very friendly and informative which got matters off to a good start.Occasional live music and quiz nights nod towards a real pub atmosphere some evenings.
The three handpumps were offering Olde Rosie Cider,GK IPA and Wood Farm Grand Slam in decent shape. The pub is very close to the Grand Union Canal and so will attract boaters and walkers, and for a quick beer or two it served the purpose well.Food will always be the main driver here especially at lunchtime which is when we visited but I enjoyed my brief visit.
