A detached cream rendered cottage style pub/eatery, with some orangey colour paintwork and a patio area.
The interior is is open plan, but in a T shape. At the far end of the pub there is a darts area, with a TV showing Sky Sports News. There is a wood floor and sofas and comfy chairs. Walking up to the main entrance, you pass the bar on your left and after is the dining area, that branched out either side. The decor is a mix of brown wallpaper, white, toffee coloured wood panel and natural wood panel. There are some nice wooden chairs here, that look sturdier than the beams, as ROB says! There is a mix of arty pictures and old photographs on the walls. The service was fine and the clientele small, but mixed. The background music was varied and at a decent level.
Beer; tap stuff, with Bombardier and Marston's Pedigree on handpull, the Ped was drinkable.
I guess, because of its superior beer choice, i would go to Odfellows over the road before this pub, but it isnt the worst in Shifnal by any means.

This is a recently reopened pub after a major refurbishment. A large amount of money has been spent to create brand new “oldness” in this pub. It’s got a bit of an ecclesiastical feel really. As you enter there is a dining lounge to the left and another smaller one to the right. The one on the right has wood panelling all around it. The one on the left has panels on the walls depicting arches or windows. There’s a seating area at the rear with leather sofas and chairs. There are “old” beams over the bar, these may even be original, it’s difficult to tell. My first impression was “It looks like a hotel bar”. It’s very foody, but there are two handpumps on the bar serving Marstons Pedigree and Brakspears Bitter (Ho hum). Had a pint of the Brakspears, it was drinkable, but not very good. It’s not really my sort of place but I can see it doing well with the “doing lunch with mummy” set.
