Small pub on Kilburn High Rd. Looked quite interesting on the outside with a very traditional and come in and see what I have to offer allure. Felt like a bit of a time warp inside which was quite lovely. I was the only punter sitting on the patterned banquettes around the perimeter of the pub, the others were all sitting on high stools perched at the bar chatting to the friendly and old school landlady. No cask, just a small number of keg offerings, including my new go-to quaff of John Smiths!! Racing on the two screens in the pub but no commentary and a slightly naff music soundtrack instead.
I really liked and appreciated this venue but I can’t talk myself into anything other than a midpoint 5 rating for the venue.

Another pub on the Kilburn High Road with no real ale. This one definitely had more of an "Irish feel" to it. But unlike our first two pubs, it was much busier.
TV screens were showing both horse racing and cricket. Track and trace was via a scrap of paper torn from a notebook.
The draft selection was Carling, Stella Artois, John Smith's, Guinness, Carlsberg & Fosters. Spitfire was available in bottles.
Lively but disappointing.

Charrington's regalia visible to the windows, this has a traditional interior, probably dating from the inter-war period. TVs switched on showing the horse racing in what is one of Kilburn's famous Irish pubs. It was quiet during my midday visit and I enjoyed a pint of good Guinness and would probably return.
