On my latest visit today to this pub I now discover that there is a 3rd room to the left of the servery. This is accessed via a door and up some steps. Its mainly for diners it seems but beyond this room is a pleasant side beer garden.

A lovely country pub right on the outskirts of Ruthin directly opposite St Marys Church in Llanfwrog. Basically a 2 roomed pub with the servery to your right. 2 handpumps on the bar with Doom Bore and Hafod Good Intentions on today. A fine view of the Clwyddian Hills to seen from outside the pub. The inside is pleasant though slightly modern.

The recent closure of this old pub is a sad loss to the area. The retiring landlords have been unable to sell the pub to a new landlord and it now looks certain to become a private dwelling.
UPDATE - 02/08/16. Against previous expectation, Ye Olde Cross Keys has now reopened.
