Will Larter left this review about The Britannia Inn
Previously associated with the now defunct Spire Brewery, this is now a free house and apparently jointly run with the New Inn in the same village. There was one beer from the Spire Brewing Co, the phoenix brewery, plus Jennings Mild and Cumberland Ale and GK Old Speckled Hen. This is a multi-room village local which was very quiet at the time of my midweek afternoon visit, but I gained the impression that it's a bit livelier at other times and forms a valuable part of the village scene. I didn't see a pool table, but there is table football.
