Will Larter left this review about The Boythorpe
A large pre-war roadside pub in Brewers Tudor near Queens Park on the south side of Chesterfield. There are four hand pumps but they have stopped stocking real ale as they were not selling enough. I went for a Guinness, which thankfully was not too cold. The carpets and upholstery were very colourful, and I could see myself enthusing about a pub like this if it sold a decent real ale or two. But this, it seems, is the future for pubs like these.
