I had 10 minutes to kill before my train out of Chesterfield so popped in here. There's no real ale and I didn't fancy swigging a keg beer so went for a whisky. This is a typical town centre boozer, the type where you expect things to kick off any minute, but the person behind the bar seemed to be keeping a lid on things. This was 4:35 on a Thursday afternoon.

A fairly basic, no frills pub. Booth like seating at the front with a mixture of low/high tables and chairs elsewhere. All wooden flooring now. 2 handpumps on the bar with Bombardier Burning Gold and Help For Heroes on.

The Victoria is situated in Chesterfields main shopping area.
Once inside there was a single long oblong shaped room which ran to the rear, the bar was to the rear left, the seating was a mix of types including american diner seating and normal tables and chairs, the room was carpeted.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was a decent drink, the other beer was GK IPA.
The pub was fairly busy on my late Saturday afternoon visit.
I was quite surprised to find a pub with a proper name in the middle of Chesterfield that i have not been in,so this pub was a bonus for me.
