This is predominantly a food-led pub that overlooks the Bridgewater Canal in a village named after the pub. On our Wednesday evening visit, the pub was busy. From what I could see, everybody else was there for dinner. Although, whilst the focus is on food, the handpull dispensing Stonehouse Station Bitter was being put to good use and it was a nice drink.
There are two reasonably sized rooms inside, with most tables set out for diners. A patio area to the front was also being used for meals. Dogs are welcomed on the patio.
This pub clearly has a good reputation for its food, given how it was so busy on a Wednesday evening. I was surprised that it closes on a Monday and a Tuesday, given its popularity.

Very dining led canal side pub which gives its name to the surrounding area , there is a small front patio , inside there are several dining areas and a small bar , usual kegs and 3 real ales , 2 from the local Stonehouse , Station and Off the Rails and a decent Church End Fallen Angel , a very busy pub , rammed at 12 on a Friday lunch time .

A large roadside pub on the banks of the Montgomery Canal just off tha A5. There is a large emphasis on food with meals all day. Real Ales are available.
