Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Anchor Inn
Substantial pub in a prominent position on a bend in the main road through the town. Looks attractive enough outside, but the inside has seen better days with sparse furniture and decor. Retains a two room layout, with a reasonably large lounge and a smaller side bar with a pool table. Function room to rear. Patio beer garden to one side. Currently a Marstons pub, with two of four handpumps offering Jennings Bitter and Hobgoblin (remarkably priced at £1.85), but the signs outside say that the freehold is for sale.

The Anchor is a Marstons house i went in the room to the right this was fairly large and quite empty there was also another room you could walk through to get to the toilets these rooms had been opened out.
There was only one real ale on the bar this was Jennings Bitter it was drinkable but i have had better drinks of this beer.
In my opinion this pub looks better from the outside than on the inside.
