A little better than I expected from the outside, but not much. Three pristine hand pumps are out of use because the pub owner will not let the people who run it stock anything except Doom Bar, and they refuse to sell it. There must be more behind this story, but that's what I got. A strange one to make a stand on - I'd rather they refused to play constant muzak from Smooth radio, but perhaps that's their preference? I couldn't stand the idea of drinking a cold, fizzy keg beer so had a brandy. £4 well spent.

Visited this pub when staying in Kiln Park Camping.
It’s only a short walk from the main road and well worth the visit.
The Landlord, Simon gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel at home.
He has newly taken over the pub and very keen to put the pub on the map with good service and good food.
It’s a must for anyone looking to visit a real pub with reasonable prices instead of overpriced caravan parks.
Simon was running a weekly special beer price which always helps !
