Called in yesterday and is well described by Brainy Pool. There was 3 cask beers and i think 6 keg taps operating. It was a bit pricey though with most of the keg beers £6 a pint.

now completely refurbished and reopened with part of it being the Buck pub and part being a spitroast chicken restaurant. the foody part is accessed through the pub so is effectively a glorified dining room. A nice modernisation has been carried out on the multi roomed pub layout with plenty of separate areas giving the pub a cosy feeling. However, it has lost some of its olde worlde spit and sawdust charm and there’s a bit too much blue paint for me. i found three ales, disappointingly these were from Marstons and their subsidiaries. thank god it’s open again anyway.
